Valedictorian Criteria
The Porter Creek Valedictorian embodies values of academic excellence, leadership, integrity, and perseverance. They achieve top grades, work hard, pursue knowledge, manage their time effectively and take initiative. The Porter Creek Valedictorian truly encompasses the school motto: “Pride, Passion, Purpose”.

The top 10 students, by percentage grade average of their top 5 grade 12 classes, will be invited to participate in a Valedictorian interview.
Those 5 classes must include:
1) English 12
2) 2 Academic courses
3) 2 Other courses

The Valedictorian interview is held with a panel of teachers, administrators, and classmates. The winner of this competition will be named Porter Creeks Valedictorian.

If a valedictorian engages in behaviour unbecoming of someone representing the graduating class, the title can be revoked.  This decision will be at the discretion of the school principal.
