Message from Superintendent Chris Stacey:
It gives me great pleasure to announce that Peter Giangrande will be the new Principal of Porter Creek Secondary School to begin the 2020-2021l. Peter has been a Yukon Educator for 18 years, and a valued member of the PCSS staff since 2004. In fact, he already proved himself to be more than ready for this role by heading up many key initiatives and programs at the school in the role of Acting Principal from 2017-2019. While bringing expertise in areas such as curriculum implementation, professional inquiry, restorative practices and collaborative relationship building with all school community partners, Peter believes strongly in, and models, appreciative leadership by identifying and nurturing strengths in others and by placing high value on inclusion, inspiration and integrity. I am excited to have Peter take on this role, and I look forward to supporting him as he drives PCSS forward on its ever-rising trajectory as a school of excellence with a culture of learning that empowers students, teachers, staff and parents.
